Doctoral studies TUP accepts citizens of Ukraine, that have a candidate of sciences degree:

• Based on the competitive government funded program by the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine;
• Based on contracts between TUP and other educational and scientific institutions and establishments;
• Based on individual contracts with students.

Citizens of foreign countries, including CIS residents, are accepted to TUP post-graduate programs based on the same rules as for citizens of Ukraine, under a condition that there is an international or intergovernmental contract.

Doctoral studies offers only daily form of education with its term not longer than 3 years.

One of the necessary conditions for a student to enroll in doctoral studies program is to have a creative addition as a part of doctor's paper, that would allow the student to finish the doctor's research project in first two years of studying and handwrite the doctor's paper. The last, third, year of education is used for final preparations to the doctor's dissertation, writing and publishing articles and a monography on the dissertation's topic and the doctor's dissertation presentation to a specialized committee during the term of studying (three years).

Students who want to enroll in the daily TUP doctoral studies should submit the following documents to the office of posts graduate education:

• Application form with mentor's (PhD), head of the department and prorector's signatures;
• Personal identification form, with a 3x4 or 4x6 cm photograph and an autobiography;
• A list of articles published on the doctor's dissertation;
• A developed plan of dissertation writing signed by student and mentor;
• A reference letter from the employer with the recommendation for the student to be accepted to the doctoral studies;
• A detailed protocol of the TUP department committee with the following information necessary:
1. About the actuality of dissertation theme;
2. About scientific research in the dissertation that should be not less than 60% from all the dissertation;
3. About the recommendation to daily doctoral studies on one of the departments and mentor assignment;
4. About the petition to the University Scientific Committee about student enrolment in the doctoral studies program;
5. About the student's ability to finish and present the dissertation project during the three year period of studying;
• Copies of secondary education, candidate of sciences, associate professor or scientific specialist diplomas;
• Medical test results, that should include the statement about students ability to work for 3 years on the dissertation;
• Passport (show only);
• Contract signed by the organization that has sent the student to study.

The results about student's admition will be given according to the University Scientific Committee decision.

Every year (department - May, University committee - November) student gives a report on work done. Based on the report the decision is made whether student will keep on studying in doctoral studies.

Doctoral student has a right to:

• Apply for a government funding scholarship based on the income from the last employment place. Scholarship will be given to a student if it will be financed by the Ministry of Sciences and Education;
• Have annual vacation for 2 month (July, August) with scholarship being given;
• Be employed by the same organization that has sent the student to study after the end of doctoral studies;
• The term of education will be counted as pedagogical experience;
• To work or conduct scientific research in TUP while studying.

Doctoral students must finish and present the scientific dissertation during the three year term of studying.
